무하에 대하여

The Story of MUHA

MUHA is a small teahouse in Surat Thani, southern Thailand. It is also an online shop. Both exist for the same reason.

The name comes from the Korean 무하 — an older term that carries the sense of stillness without end, of space that is open and unhurried. That is what tea does, when it is made well and drunk without distraction.

We serve Korean and Chinese teas — not as a collection or a curriculum, but as a practice. Hadong green. Wuyi rock oolong. Old-tree puerh from Yiwu. Each chosen because it says something worth listening to.

The ceramics we carry are made in Korea. Celadon and buncheong and dagwan — forms shaped by the same tradition as the teas they hold. They are not decorative. They improve with use.

J opened MUHA in Surat Thani because this is where the space was quiet enough. Southern Thailand is not where you expect to find Korean tea culture. That is part of the point.

The online shop exists for people who cannot come in person. The teas are the same. The ceramics are the same. We ship carefully.
